Only way is up after Watford double

It´s been a good week. I was delighted to score two goals down at Watford on Tuesday. We had the numerical advantage after Tamas Prikin was sent off but, no matter what the advantage, you´ve still got to be able to deliver and score the goals. We dominated the game and our collective effort was too much for them. They were lucky to hang on for the draw to be honest.

Those goals took my Cardiff tally up to four, hopefully it will be onward and upward for the rest of the season. I´m bedding in now and myself and Ross McCormack have got 12 between us, obviously I´m delighted about that but good results and moving up the table is what matters most.

We´ve got another away trip this weekend against Nottingham Forest. They´re rooted to the bottom of the table at the moment but it´s going to be a difficult game. No-one wants to be bottom of the league and they´re going to be scrapping, fighting and making things as tough as they can for us. We´ve just got to go about it in the right manner and perform as we know we can. We´re unbeaten on the road this season and we´ve only been beaten once at home, so we´re feeling confident of getting three points.

We´ve got a resilient team here at Cardiff and our togetherness is key. The team spirit is really good. The players all spend time together outside of training and playing, and so do the wives and girlfriends. It´s a real family club which is great. All the staff are friendly, everyone gets on – right down to the dinner ladies and the rest of the staff. It all helps when you are on the pitch.

Joe Ledley should be back this weekend which is great news for Cardiff. He is a big player for us. I´m not sure if he will start but I´m sure he´ll be involved at some point. He is a great talent and it´ll be good to have him back.
